Hi! I’m Tia Caton and this is my class blog for Communications 210 at Washington State University. I am currently a Sophomore here at WSU double majoring in Strategic Communications and DTC. Since I have been young I have always liked art and dreamed of working with it in my profession. In high school I took multiple graphic design classes along with a few web design classes. Slowly my love of art transformed into a curiosity for digital arts. With this I hope to pursue a career in Graphic design with additional knowledge in Advertising the media I create. Ultimately, this lead to me pursuing DTC as a major and enrolling in the Com 210 class.The purpose of this blog is to document and share all of the projects I create in this class. Along with this I’ll use it to post the media I have created about my specific topic for COM210.

Throughout high school I grew up in the city of Sammamish which is located near the foothills of Snoqualmie pass. Growing up here I developed a great love of hiking, swimming and the general outdoors. There were numerous lakes and hikes to explore all over during my summer days. Some of my other hobbies include reading, studio arts such as drawing, painting, and sculpting, soccer, music festivals and a strong passion for pets.
